Hi Ijjust received my Antminer s9 and had set it up and powered on. I let the miner warm up as I was looking for the IP address on my pc to set up the mining details. After maybe 5 min of machine being at full power the power supply gave off a loud bang and started to smell of burning. On closer inspection one of the capacitors on the PSU near the cables for the miner had exploded and melted leaving bits of capacitor everywhere.

Has anyone heard of this before or seen this? What could have caused this?
What are the chances that this has fried my s9?

Thanks Bill

Hi,

I have exactly the same problem and I'm just hoping that my L3+ hasn't been damaged.

Can you please help Bitmain? I'm really worried now...
